We are excited to welcome Cindy Ngo, as our new Promotion Associate at Social Impact Studios. Cindy will be working to get issues and stories out to the public and media through traditional & new media methods – and working directly with groups on their Promotion & Engagement activities.

Cindy was born in North Philadelphia to immigrant parents, her dad is from Vietnam and mother migrated from Guatemala. While growing up Cindy recognized the importance of different issues in her community and wanted to make a difference. Cindy knew her talent was in communicating and wanted to hone it more. While attending Temple University she learned a new passion: social media and the different ways it can spread awareness of different social issues. After graduation, Cindy interned at The Welcoming Center for New Pennsylvanians, where she and partner Asmah Mahboubi founded Eat Up the Borders. Their love for the food of their motherlands led to this startup, where people from Philadelphia communities come together and break down the walls of different cultures. Customers get a taste of food and language of restaurants’ cultures and restaurant owners reach new people.

Please help us welcome Cindy! [cindy(at)socialimpactstudios.com]
