Impact Coordinator

Work with founding director Ennis Carter to help run the ins and outs of Social Impact Studios.

The Impact Coordinator has a bird’s-eye-view of all of the different ways that Social Impact Studios helps activate inspired ideas and engage people in critical issues & culture.

In this position, you will work closely with the director to help bring our visionary action plan to day-to-day reality. You’ll help translate ideas, timing, and practices to our team of designers and organizers – and transmit clarity and action steps to the people we work with: our “client collaborators.”

What You’ll Need:

  • Great communication skills.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
  • Working knowledge of information & online tools, including Google Drive apps & Zoom.
  • Knowledge of – or ability to learn – other online tools that we use: Slack, Asana, MailChimp, Insightly.
  • The ability to facilitate collaboration. Knowing when to galvanize the energy and ideas of a group/collaborator and when to steward through steps that need clear action by specific people.
  • Attention to detail and a desire to help make things happen.

The Nuts & Bolts:

  • Part-time, 10-20 hours/week – available daily Mon-Fri (Potential growth to full-time position)
  • Remote sub-contracted position
  • Facilitate Weekly “Set the Week” Planning Meeting @10 EST Mondays w/Ennis Carter, Director
  • Daily Check-In via Slack or call for project/assignment updates
  • Co-facilitate Weekly Social Impact Full Team Meeting @10am – 10:30am EST Thursdays
  • Living wage+ hourly pay based on experience up to $25/hr. Paid weekly electronically

Visual/Interactive Designer

Make positive social change with your talent, skills and dedication.

Social Impact Studios is looking for a skilled visual designer for regular, part-time weekly work. Work with our creative time to bring inspired ideas to life.

What You’ll Need:

  • Experience in core Adobe Creative Suite required (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop)
  • Bonus: Experience in web design, video editing and/or animation a plus but not required
  • Your own equipment and design programs
  • Attention to detail and a passion for stretching creativity within the time-sensitive world of making a social impact

The Nuts & Bolts:

  • Part-time, 10 hours/week – available daily Mon-Fri
  • Remote sub-contracted position
  • Attend Weekly “Set the Week” Creative Meeting @12noon EST Mondays w/Ennis Carter, Director
  • Daily Check-In via e-mail for project/assignment updates
  • Attend Weekly Social Impact Team Meeting @10am – 10:30am EST Fridays
  • Living wage+ hourly pay based on experience up to $25/hr. Paid weekly electronically.
