ABOUT US

Social Impact Studios is a creative hub for engaging people in culture to act on important issues.

We believe that positive, proactive messages should get attention above all else. For 30 years, SIS creative activists have propelled and amplified inspired ideas that spark positive action in the world. We turn goals into impactful plans, compelling messages, and dynamic multimedia experiences.

Culture shapes us. It’s the heartbeat of our decisions and actions, and communication is its channel. Today, mainstream communication breeds confusion, hype, and fear – making difficult issues worse. At SIS, we are working to counter that with clear, authentic, and uplifting communication. When people are inspired to share their truth, they feel empowered. They stay focused, and rally others to achieve their goals. When more dedicated people do that, we can make a better world that we envision.

Social Impact Studios is a place to collaborate, learn, and do this work.
Let’s work together!

Ennis & Phil Carter
Founders

The creative duo at the heart of Social Impact Studios, Ennis and Phil Carter have been life and creative partners since 1986—and the visionaries behind SIS since 1996. As co-creative directors, they’ve shaped nearly every major campaign at the studio with their unique blend of artistic insight, cultural connections, and radical imagination. Generation X originals, they bridge analog activism and digital creativity through practical idealism.

Also musicians in the SIS houseband, The FlipCharts, The C’Arters bring rhythm, humor, and heart to the work. They are creative philosophers, phrase coiners, and space-makers who model a grounded, joyful partnership. Their work connects generations, movements, and mediums—shaping experiences that speak to the healthier, happier, and more peaceful world that they believe is possible.c
